  1. I think your first sentence rips every mask off the profound indifference of politicians. Your second exposes the filth and seediness of politics.

    My much older cousin was heavily involved in politics. Early on as an elected representative. Later on as a “back room boy” various Interests hired to fix votes and bribe key politicians.

    I told cousin I was thinking about going into politics in order to do some good in the world.

    Cousin told me not to. Said it was the filthiest business on earth, and that if I made it a career, I would never be happy.

    Thank goodness I took his advice.
